Tipetti, Cups, and Goblets – Masterpieces of Venetian Art
Step into the heart of the most aristocratic Venetian tradition with our collection of Tipetti, Cups, and Goblets in Murano glass. The "tipetto" is the goblet par excellence, the most famous work of glass art, historically used during high-profile banquets. They were considered true status symbols among the European aristocracy of the time.
It all begins with a sketch by the Master, who gathers the molten glass and blows it to form a sphere. Guided by his assistant, he shapes and opens this sphere using tongs to create the goblet's bowl. Together, they then decorate the central stem with refined details such as flowers or leaves. Finally, they shape the base and fuse the three parts (bowl, stem, and base) while the glass is still incandescent, giving life to a unique and feather-light goblet.
According to tradition, these Venetian tipetti have always been considered the ideal gift for newlyweds on their wedding day.
