Vases Filante Venetian Glass

Murano Glass Vases “Filante” – Venetian Art

Discover our exclusive collection of Filante Murano glass vases, elegant handmade blown glass creations distinguished by their thread-like patterns. The distinctive “filante” effect, literally meaning “stringy”, is created by applying thin threads of molten glass onto the surface of the vase while it is still hot.

These fine glass trails are carefully placed around the body of the piece, forming fluid lines and dynamic textures. The threads are shaped to enhance movement, creating a sense of rhythm and continuity across the surface. This particular technique requires precision and timing, because after the threads of glass are created the Master glassmaker has only a few seconds to shape them before they cool down.

Each Filante vase is entirely handmade and one of a kind, reflecting the creativity and mastery of Murano artisans.
